Entering a team in the Dome

You have to tell us what kind of a team did you want to put in? Mens, Co-ed, Rec, Comp?

It cost more to rent then summer games and space is limited to 8 teams on a first come first served bases. Last year teams gets first option at rejoining, but there is a dead line to do this. You should get your name on the list right away and check with the convenor to see what openings are available.

If you canít get a whole team to commit there is a player list available to help you recruit or you can join as a group or as an individual player to be put on that list. Sometime, we take to groups to form a team.

Facilities and limitation

The dome is a great facility for a weekly winter softball social night with on site change rooms, video room, restaurant, bar and it is dry and warm.  The temperature is lower in dome itself and is perfect for running and playing, however, if you are a spectator you will need a light jacket or sweater. The bar-restaurant, washrooms, etc are all at normal room temperature.

Costs

Team fee is $2,500 with no limit on how many players on a team.

If joining as an individual the cost is $230.00 per player.

To submit a team requires a $500 deposit by Nov 15 of this year and if joining as an individual player full payment is required by Nov 15.

Schedule

The league goes from early Jan. to April - Usually Fri & Sat. nights at one game per week. Another option separate from the league, is the Indoor Spring Tournament (Usually around Mar break).

Includes

The fee includes: bases, balls, umpires, 13 weeks of ball (12 regular league,  plus a play-off game) and an optional orientation training night.  Play-off style may vary. Each team's photo will be on the website for 12 months.

Prizes

Prizes vary and may be few; this is to keep your cost down, however, Indoor Ball is not about prizes but rather about being able to get some swings in during the frozen north and of course a great social night out.

Orientation Practice    Click here for more details on orientation night.

We usually include an introduction training night in Dec. or very early Jan. to prepare and familiarize the players for the tricks of indoor ball. This is especially good for first time dome players.

We often have a pre-game warm up area for the waiting team to get some throws in before they start their evening game.

Another approach to learn about indoor ball is to come out to the dome on nights we play,  watch some games and get a feel for the league. You can get a drink at the bar and take it out to behind home plate and watch the games. (Free - no charge for spectators)

Our bat policy is govern by ASA

To see what bats are allowed at the Indoor league - see bats under rules or click here.
