Indoor ball Guidelines

Air Athletics Sport Centre (air Dome) in Oakville Ontario - on the North Service Rd and 3 Line (QEW) exit.

Team Cost

Total Team cost is $2,500 and includes bases, balls, umpires, 13 weeks of ball (12 regular league,  plus a play-off game) and an optional orientation training night.  Play-off style may vary. Each team's photo will be on the website for 12 months.

We have room for 8 teams: A 4-team Mens competitive division and a 4-team open recreational division.  The recreational teams have the option of playing women at their discretion, but must understand it is not Co-ed and they will be playing against mens teams.

Last year's members have the first chance to rejoin. You must register by Nov. 15, of the current year and each team requires a $500 deposit with the balance due by December end prior to league commencement.

Individual Players

If signing on as an individual player to be put on a team, the cost is $230.00 and must be paid in full by Nov. 15.

Games

We use professional umpires and real balls (yellow day glow). The Dome’s 10 foot homerun wall (over the fence indicator) is about 260’ to 270’ from home plate and the turf is the best around. Cushiony, great for sliding and an even ball bounce you can count on.

There are 12 games for the normal season and usually 1 sudden death playoff game. We also normally get a preseason fun orientation night thrown in for training purposes and indoor league instruction. Everyone one gets 3 turns at bat and plays defence. This helps to develop a feel for the winter games and insures everyone is ready for the first night challenge.

Nights & times

All games are at night after soccer finishes. At present the Men's league is Friday & Saturdays and starts at 11:30 Pm with a game every 1:15 hr. Each team will play one of the 4 time slots per week.

Co-ed

Has been replaced with the Men's open recreational division. Women can play if the individual team accepts them.

Fun Social with ball

Staying in the grove over the winter is what it is all about, but it is also a good social night out with a bunch of enthused softball players.

The on site bar is open to 2:00 AM and when your game is finished (or while waiting) you can take your drinks out behind home plate and watch the other teams play their games.
